For the second time in their long friendship, painter Dave Maloney and potter Judy Ericksen are collaborating in an exhibition and sale of their work at Gallery 16. Their artwork reflects the love they have for Montana and shared delight in God’s bounty.

Dave has been a professional artist since 1975 and over the years has received many awards for his work in Montana, across the U.S. and in Canada. His work has been selected for over 200 juried exhibitions, art shows and auctions. He has more than 25 one and two man shows to his credit, including two shows at the C.M. Russell Museum. His paintings and drawings have been featured or used as illustrations in several magazines and books. Look for his signature work on a life-sized buffalo permanently located at Benefit Healthcare Hospital in Great Falls.

Judy Ericksen has been making pottery since the early ‘70s. Her decision to become a potter was directly influenced by her move to the open spaces of Montana and a desire to translate the landscape into something tangible that could be shared. Over the years she was exhibited in galleries from Minnesota to Alaska. She has studied in The Netherlands and the Banff School of Art. She works in gas and electric fired stoneware and porcelain that is primarily functional. Ericksen also teaches around Montana and locally at Paris Gibson Square and in her private studio. She is a long time member of Gallery 16 and was inducted into the Montana Circle of American Masters in 2008.
