The gallery is a co-op run by 14 local artists and was founded 40 years ago to promote interest in contemporary Montana art work. Workshops in water color and weaving are also conducted at the gallery.

Montana State Fair will be the theme for the First Friday Art Walk at Gallery 16, 600 Central Ave, in downtown Great Falls.
Sheree Nelson will be the featured artist for the April 5th, First Friday Artwalk. Bringing again, her bold and vibrant pop-art stylings to her new show titled PLAY "FAIR" Part 1! Inspired by photos she took at the 2012 Montana State Fair in Great Falls, Sheree has captured some of the fun and character that comes to life only at the State Fair!
